In their pursuit of excellence, they provide distinctively high levels of primary healthcare, healthcare education and social services to every patient (from Infants to Geriatrics) and customer in every encounter, every day.
The successful Family Nurse Practitioner in this organization will take histories, conduct physical exams and develop, initiate and evaluate an appropriate plan of treatment, based on individual needs, making appropriate referrals as indicated. They will maintain adequate communications with other medical personnel to ensure optimum patient care, consulting with physicians and collaborating with peers in multidisciplinary agencies to provide care for patients with special needs. They will participate in the orientation of new personnel and may assign other staff to ensure appropriate patient care. Other responsibilities include participation in quality improvement initiatives, leading special projects as required and participation in organizational and professional activities.

Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing, required; graduate of an approved advanced nurse practitioner program, required; current RN license in the State of Texas, required; recognition as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (or eligible) by the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners, required, national certification, preferred.
