We currently have a very exciting opportunity
for an Education Specialist in the Division of Behavioral Medicine and Clinical
Psychology at this leading children’s hospital. They pride themselves on
their commitment to improving the quality of life for every child and bringing

have attained Magnet status for nursing excellence in pediatrics and are ranked
one of the top five children’s hospitals by Parent Magazine as well as in the
top ten by U.S. News and World Report.
The Education Specialist in Neuropsychiatry at
this leading children’s hospital will work with the team that
provides care for children and adolescents with behavioral, emotional and
developmental disorders. They are
experts in treating children with acute and chronic illnesses. You will consult with other reading experts
to develop reading interventions, recruit, train and oversee reading tutors, follow-up
with tutors and complete written reports on reading interventions, develop and
oversee specific reading intervention plans according to each participant’s
reading deficits and participate in weekly teleconferences and team
meetings.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or its equivalent, required; four years of directly related experience, required; Master’s Degree in Education, preferred; classroom experience, preferred; experience with children and adolescents with intellectual & developmental disabilities, required; experience with children and adolescents experiencing acute and chronic challenges of psychiatric and mental health disorders.
