Title: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Pulmonary Transitional Care, Experienced PNP

This is a great opportunity for the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who is interested in the chronic care of ventilator dependent, medically complex patients. The position is for an advanced practice nurse (PNP) on the Transitional Care team at a leading academic children’s hospital in the Midwestern U.S. The 18 bed unit serves infants with a wide variety of pulmonary/chronic medical conditions requiring mechanical ventilator or other assistive support. The major focus of this PNP Pulmonary position is to be a patient/family advocate and part of the 7 member APN team that provides comprehensive care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team for children transitioning from their Level IV NICU to a long term care facility. In this role, you will demonstrate your advanced nursing skills and leadership in the areas of physical assessment, diagnosis, well-child care, illness management, consultation, research and teaching. This is a full-time, 40 hour/week position with rotating shifts.

MSN; current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Ohio; certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse appropriate to meet the requirements of the Nurse Practitioner position (e.g., PNP/A, NNP, FNP) required; minimum of two years of RN or PNP pediatric nursing experience with emphasis in pulmonary transitional care, required; excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, required.
